Leadership

Ariyo Catholic Learning Institute is guided by church and Jesuit leadership working together in service of the institute’s mission. The broader ecclesial support of the project is represented by Rt. Rev. Markos Gebremedhin, CM, Vicar Apostolic of Jimma Bonga. Within the Jesuit structure, Rev. Kizito Kiyimba, SJ, Provincial of the Eastern Africa Province, has offered leadership and support in establishing the mission in Bonga.

The local Jesuit presence connected to Ariyo includes Fr. Gilbert Mardai, SJ, identified in the documents as the superior of the proposed Pedro Paez Jesuit Community, and Fr. Peter L. Omondi, SJ, named as the proposed headmaster of the school. The institute’s development has also been closely supported through the work and reporting of Sch. Linus Tigiti, SJ, whose documentation reflects the long process of planning, construction, and community collaboration.

This leadership reflects Ariyo’s identity as a mission of education, service, and long-term accompaniment.
